功能描述

Rho GTPase激活蛋白,参与细胞极性、细胞形态和细胞骨架组织。作为Rac型GTPase的GTPase激活剂,通过将其转化为非活性的GDP结合状态发挥作用。通过在Rho下游失活Rac来控制肌动蛋白重塑,从而抑制前缘突起并促进细胞回缩以实现细胞极性。在体外能够抑制RAC1和CDC42活性。过表达诱导细胞变圆,伴有肌动蛋白应力纤维的部分或完全破坏,以及膜皱褶、片状伪足和丝状伪足的形成。Isoform 2是一种血管细胞特异性GAP,参与血管生成的调节。 {ECO:0000269|PubMed:15302923, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15611138, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16862148}。

组织特异性

Isoform 1 is widely expressed with a higher level in kidney. Isoform 2 is mainly expressed in endothelial cells.
