介导氨酰化tRNA的核输出。在细胞核中，与tRNA及活性GTP结合形式的GTPase Ran结合。该三聚体复合物与核孔复合体(NPC)的对接是通过与核孔蛋白的结合介导的。当核输出复合物进入细胞质后，复合物的解体和Ran-GTP水解为Ran-GDP（分别由RANBP1和RANGAP1诱导）导致tRNA从输出受体上释放。随后XPOT返回核区室并介导下一轮转运。核输出的方向性被认为是由Ran的GTP结合形式和GDP结合形式在细胞质和细胞核之间的不对称分布所赋予的。 {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12138183, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9512417, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9660920}。
