功能描述

GTP酶,结合并水解GTP (PubMed:20876572, PubMed:21138732, PubMed:28497574, PubMed:28943303)。参与细胞内维生素B12代谢,介导钴胺素(Cbl)转运至线粒体,用于腺苷钴胺素(AdoCbl)合成的最后步骤 (PubMed:20876572, PubMed:28497574)。作为G蛋白伴侣发挥作用,协助AdoCbl辅因子从MMAB递送至甲基丙二酰辅酶A变位酶(MMUT) (PubMed:20876572, PubMed:28497574)。对MMUT发挥保护酶和再激活酶的双重作用 (PubMed:21138732, PubMed:28943303)。通过降低氧化无活性辅因子羟钴胺素(OH2Cbl)的形成速率,保护MMUT免受氧化引起的进行性失活 (PubMed:21138732, PubMed:28943303)。此外,作为再激活酶,通过促进活性辅因子AdoCbl替换OH2Cbl,在GTP存在和水解的情况下恢复MMUT的活性 (PubMed:21138732, PubMed:28943303)。 {ECO:0000269|PubMed:20876572, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21138732, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28497574, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28943303}。
