功能描述

催化2'-脱氧尿苷5'-三磷酸(dUTP)裂解为2'-脱氧尿苷5'-单磷酸(dUMP)和无机焦磷酸,通过其作用有效防止尿嘧啶错误掺入DNA,同时提供dUMP作为从头胸苷酸生物合成的底物(PubMed:17880943, PubMed:8631816, PubMed:8805593)。通过其N末端与PPAR结合抑制过氧化物酶体增殖物激活受体(PPAR)活性,阻止后者与类视黄醇X受体二聚化(By similarity)。对胚胎发育至关重要(By similarity)。 {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P70583, ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9CQ43, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17880943, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8631816, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8805593}。

组织特异性

Found in a variety of tissues. Isoform 3 expression is constitutive, while isoform 2 expression correlates with the onset of DNA replication (at protein level). Isoform 2 degradation coincides with the cessation of nuclear DNA replication (at protein level).
